Our communion service
At Bethesda we aim to centre the things we do around the scriptures, the word of God. One of the instructions given to us by the Lord Jesus Himself was to remember Him. He knew that we understand and remember more of what we see than what we hear and because of that symbols are important. He asks, therefore, that we eat bread and remember His body broken for us and drink wine and think of His blood shed for us.
Each Sunday evening at 6:30pm we meet together to have communion with Him and with each other and do as He requested. This service is unique in that there is no set order, various people will contribute, some will ask for a hymn or song to be sung, some will pray and others read from the bible. In this way we remember what He has done for us and the sacrifice He made.
All are welcome to this time of remembrance and all those who know and love the Lord are invited to join with us as we take the bread and the wine. Please contact us for further information.
